Unfortunately, the latter is not true. The great majority of studies is
financed by the pharmaceutical industry. And the pharmaceutical industry
is not interested in testing traditional remedies, because they cannot
be patented. They are interested in them, but then to analyze the herbs
etcetera used, hoping to find out what substance in them is having the
desired effect, and then go on with only this substance or one that looks
like it.
