I'm tempted to say that I'll keep mine off, if you'll keep yours off -- but that would be wrong. It would lead to that "downward spiral" which Martin Luther King spoke against so eloquently.
I'd be better off incorporating your ideas about Europe's perception of America and about American "happiness" to impose its will, into the [[ICC]] article :-)

From what I read & hear, the general perception in Europe is that it's
the US who's at fault for refusing to sign up to (yet another)
international effort.
Ed, please keep your politics off-list, especially at a time when the US
is only too happy to impose its will by force without the backing of the
UN. At least the ICC has that.
