Getting a little off-topic here, but I still don't see being reckless as necessarily a bad thing. You build and learn from these sort of experiences. You're reckless once, you're reverted, you talk about it, you learn. That's to be encouraged.

BRD is different from recklessness. Quoting: "The BOLD, revert, discuss cycle (BRD) is an optional method of reaching consensus. It can sometimes be useful for identifying objections, keeping discussion moving forward and helping to break deadlocks. Care and diplomacy should be exercised. Some editors will see any reversion as a challenge, so be considerate and patient."
Dictionary def of "reckless" from Wiktionary: "1. Careless or heedless; headstrong or rash. 2. Indifferent to danger or the consequence."

Recklessness is very okay. See http://enwp.org/WP:BRD .

Encouraging boldness is ok, and new good-faith editors sometimes need that encouragement. Recklessness is not ok, and this particular quote sounds like it's encouaging the latter IMO. There must be a better quote that can be used instead.

Yeah, I think the context comes out ok on that. It's meant to sound revolutionary :) even if given our history perhaps it shouldn't sound like that ( because it's been a core thing since the start).

"Be bold" is a major, MAJOR thing on Wikipedia projects however.

Without broader context for that quote, I would suggest not publicizing that widely. Wikipedia is not an anarchy.

Traditionally we've done it some. Personally I think it's a good thing to do especially from @Wikimedia with more limited ones from @Wikipedia. Is a cheap (less work then a blog etc) way to bring attention to the ongoing talks.

Should we start RTing people who are tweeting about Wikimania talks etc?
