If you really want to go this route, see

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Page_table

But as this is a relational database with lots of interdependencies this might not be a feasible way to go.

You can use phpMyAdmin (http://www.phpmyadmin.net ) for direct manipulation of database tables.
