[Mediawiki-l] Sysop rights

If you do not see a "protect" or "delete" tab on regular pages, like the
Main Page, then you are not a Sysop.  

Go to the Special pages and select the "User list" and see if your
username has "(Bureaucrat, Sysop)" next to it.  If not then you are
definitely not a Sysop.  Log in as someone who has that by their
username and they should see "protect" and "delete" tabs on the Main
Page showing that they are indeed a Sysop.  They can use the User rights
management link on the Special pages to give you Bureaucrat and Sysop
priviledge.

A for editing Special pages, they cannot be edited.  They are system
generated so you will not see an edit tab on those pages.

If I edit those pages, no problem, but with the special pages, I don't
