[Mediawiki-l] Hosed MediaWiki installation?

More details on this... The person who set up the Wiki for us made the
/www/wiki/ directory a symlink pointing to the
/home/<user>/cgi-bin/wiki/ directory.

When I tried to do the update, I FTPed the files to /wiki/; would that
have caused the issue?
