[Mediawiki-l] sending new password as WikiSysop to a user

You mean you want to change the email that users get when you create their
accounts?  Try editing MediaWiki:Passwordremindertext as a sysop to mention
"email newgrp at gmx.net if you have any problems" or whatever.
