[Mediawiki-l] Enviar email através de smtp

Senhores e senhoras,

estou tentando enviar emails no wiki usando aquela configuração do wgSMTP,
conforme abaixo, mas não obtive sucesso.

$wgEnableEmail = true;
$wgEnableUserEmail = true;

$wgSMTP = array(
'host'      => "gmail.com",
'port'      => 25,
'auth'      => true,
'username'  => "alexpedroto",
'password'  => "**********"
);

alguma orientação ou outra solução sem usar o sendmail?

I'm having sending emails in wiki using the $wgSMTP array, however I not got
success. Any sugestions? or other solution without use Sendmail?
