[Mediawiki-l] Substituting Template Content On Page Creation

You could try adding a link to the navigation bar, the link could contain
the query string parameters [url] that you need.

Not sure if this is what you need.

Thanks Kevin, that worked really well!

I have one more constraint, however.  I'm building a simple data-entry
"application" using MediaWiki, and the people who will be creating and
editing these pages probably won't want to fiddle with the address bar in
their browser.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this by clicking on a single link
or button?  It would even be fine if it was a two-step process, as long as
that process was farily simple and intuitive.  Also, I'm open to editing
some PHP or creating a special page if that's necessary.
