[Mediawiki-l] including a image on top of wiki pages

Hello all,

Some time I wanted to add a image on top of wiki I was not able to find;
now after I saw http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/wiki/Hauptseite , I would like
to add up that.
I am not a html guy, can anyone please point me to some help regarding how
to add a image on top of wiki, essentially that means editing Monobook.css I
guess;
I need to put this a 1000x45 pixel image on top;

is it possible to add up whole navigation bar;
like I have at http://www.indiaonpix.com/
