I'm not sure the parser is clean enough for that to work. For example,
can you cache it after templates are transcluded, but before header
numbers are added? You might end up needing to have all the templates
cached too. Really, caching the wiki source would end up being the
same as having a database slave at each site, which makes syncing
tricky and slow.
