[Foundation-l] [FR 07] Fundraiser 2007 -ResponsivenessofCommunity

Didn't this thread start with a representative of the Foundation asking for
responses from the community? So, how can you say that I have to ask for the
permission of the Foundation to generate fundraising materials, when the
Foundation itself requested those ideas? I don't see what the "free
derivatives" point has to do with anything, as the image I created is not
released under a free license, and it has its copyright transferred to
Wikimedia, so the Foundation is free to delete it if it deems necessary.

In any case, if one has to jump through a thousand hoops to volunteer
something for the Foundation, don't be surprised when no one volunteers
anything.

I didn't say the foundation would say no, I just said that actually
the aim of the Community Logo was (as far as I remember) to provide a
logo which can be quickly and without legal restrictions be used by
anyone and from which free derivatives can be created.
