[Foundation-l] Steward elections

Hello,

Jimbo's steward access on enwiki was renamed because a user in
#mediawiki insisted that having one user flagged as a steward on
enwiki was confusing. They refused to accept that it was a community
matter, not a bug, and refused to get it removed through the community
or by privately contacting Jimmy. In the end, said developer solved
the argument by assigning Jimbo to a copy of the steward group named
"founder".

That has nothing to do with pretension. He could just as easily have
renamed it to "apple", although "founder" is at least relevant. Jimmy
likely did not notice the change.

That explained, how is any of this relevant to the announced steward
elections? If you want to bash Jimbo or discuss his steward access,
please do it in a different thread.

Yours cordially,
Jesse Martin (Pathoschild)
