A bit of clarification... to call it "Kat's essay" is a bit
misleading. I did write the text -- some one had to -- but the message
was reviewed by and intended to be a communication from the whole
board; it's a general explanation of the reasoning behind the
resolution. Nothing in the message should be contradicted by anything
in the resolution, and vice versa.
