The name of the file is: frwiki-20130903-pages-articles.xml, i.e. the
same as you but expanded.
I read the file with a basic java string reader.
I made the two steps.
STEP#1 => I search the string "appellent souvent par son diminutif"
which is a fragment of the first two paragraphs.
I found one page, the following page which is rather small:
<page>

Pacifique|pacifique]]. Les Américains l'appellent souvent par son
diminutif, L.A., prononcé « èl é ».
(world city-region).

which is in the interactive page, the third paragraph, but is not in the
dump.
Question: where if the third paragraph and the infobox?
Thanks,
Gil

I'm afraid you'll have to be much more
concrete than that if you want
us to help you.
First of all, which dump are you talking about? I'm assuming you're
talking about French Wikipedia (and not for example French
Wikivoyage),
but which file specifically did you use? And how exactly did you read it?
When I tried this with the frwiki-20130903-pages-articles.xml.bz2
dump, I found the whole article there (and no q).
