Hi, I'd like to know if there is a webpage that is more of a walk-through on how o create a mirror for wikipedia. I have had a few people asked me how this can be done here at CLEF2011 and I was not able to give them a satisfactory answer.

There's probably a page on mediawiki.org explaining it. Very quickly: - Install a mediawiki - Tweak the configuration - Download the appropiate xml file from dumps.wikimedia.org (usually the -current one) - Import with mwdumper (does that still work? you may need some patches) - Import with mysqldump other sql files from dumps.wikimedia.org for faster startup (instead of reparsing all the pages) - Add a line on the bottom explaining that it is a Wikipedia mirror, where to find the last version, the license, etc. - Profit
