Hello everyone,
I want to inform you that I have proposed the closure of the Gagauz
Wikipedia.
This proposal was made because the project does not have an active
community of Gagauz speakers, and there is very little meaningful new
content being created. Many existing pages are simple date articles,
copied content, or technical pages. There is also almost no moderation,
which makes the project a target for spam and self-promotion.
I believe these problems make it difficult for the project to grow in a
healthy and useful way.
If you are interested in the future of the Gagauz Wikipedia, I strongly
encourage you to take part in the discussion and share your opinion.
Your input is important.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your interest in and support pf the WMTurkic MSIG Ambassadors Program. We will start this program with an online meeting tomorrow, that is, on October 1, 2023, at 14:00 (UTC +3).
If you do not know about the MSIG Ambassadors Program, let me briefly explain it to you: In this program, WMTurkic members will translate the "Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy" pages into their own local languages, and we will discuss and exchange ideas in what stage their local communities are in terms of the 2030 Movement Strategy.
As WMTurkic, we have identified 20 articles that we plan to translate into local languages. Besides, the main topics we will talk about are "Hubs" and "Global Council". We will be very pleased to see you among us tomorrow at the meeting to be held in Turkish, English and Russian. Attending this meeting is beneficial for you to be a part of building the Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy and to be more active within the movement.

Dear all,
From October 20 to October 22, 2023, Wikimedia Turkic UG[1], together with
Wikimedia UG Turkey[2], will organize the second Turkic Wikimedia
Conference[3] in Istanbul, Turkey.
Turkic Wikimedia Conference is an annual gathering of Wikimedians and
supporters of Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages. The conference aims
to bring together all the people who work on Wikimedia projects and support
the development of projects and the Wikimedia Movement on a local and
global level. Today, more than 200 million people speak Turkic languages,
and the geography of the speakers unites Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Central
Asia, China, and Russia. On this basis, the development and support of
communities of Turkic-speaking Wikimedians are critical.
All Turkic communities and affiliations have the right to send their
delegates to the conference[4], the costs of which will be covered by
Wikimedia Turkic UG. The delegate selection process and all other relevant
information are on the registration page[5]. Please read it carefully. The
deadline for registering delegates from communities and affiliations is
July 20.
Self-funded individuals and other non-delegate participants may register
until July 31st.

Kullanıcı Grubu[1] ile WMTR’nin[2] birlikte organize ettiği İkinci Turk
Dilleri Wikimedia Konferansı[3] İstanbul’da düzenlenecektir.
Turk Dilleri Wikimedia Konferansı, Wikimedistlerin ve Wikimedia
projelerinin Türk dillerindeki destekçilerinin yıllık bir toplantısıdır.
Konferans, Wikimedia projelerinde çalışan ve projelerin gelişimini ve
Wikimedia Hareketini yerel ve küresel düzeyde destekleyen tüm insanları bir
araya getirmeyi amaçlıyor. Bugün 200 milyondan fazla insan Türk dillerini
konuşmaktadır ve konuşanların coğrafyası Türkiye, Azerbaycan, İran, Orta
Asya, Çin ve Rusya'yı bir araya getirmektedir. Bu temelde, Türkçe konuşan
Wikimedia toplulukların gelişimi ve desteklenmesi için kritik öneme
sahiptir.
Tüm Türk toplulukları ve iştirakleri, masrafları Wikimedia Topluluğu Türk
Dilleri Kullanıcı Grubu tarafından karşılanacak olan konferansa[4]
delegelerini gönderme hakkına sahiptir. Delege seçim süreci ve diğer tüm
ilgili bilgiler kayıt sayfasında yer almaktadır[5]. Lütfen dikkatlice
okuyunuz. Topluluklardan ve iştiraklerden delegelerin kayıt yaptırması için
son tarih 20 Temmuz 2023’dür.

С 20 по 22 октября 2023 года, Тюркская ЮГ[1] совместно с Викимедиа
Турцией[2] организует вторую Тюркскую Конференцию Викимедиа[3] в Стамбуле,
Турция.
Тюркская Конференция Викимедиа - это ежегодная встреча викимедийцев и
добровольцев проектов Викимедиа на тюркских языках. Цель конференции -
объединить всех людей, которые работают над проектами Викимедиа и
поддерживают развитие проектов и движения Викимедиа на местном и глобальном
уровнях. Сегодня более 200 миллионов человек говорят на тюркских языках, а
география носителей объединяет Турцию, Азербайджан, Украину, Молдову, Иран,
Центральную Азию, Китай и Россию. Исходя из этого, развитие и поддержка
сообществ тюркоязычных викимедийцев имеют решающее значение.
Все тюркские сообщества и аффилиации имеют право направить своих делегатов
на конференцию[4], расходы на которую будут покрыты Тюркской ЮГ. Процесс
отбора делегатов и вся другая соответствующая информация даны на странице
регистрации[5]. Пожалуйста, прочтите его внимательно. Крайний срок
регистрации делегатов от сообществ и ассоциаций - 20 июля.
Все другие участники, не являющиеся делегатами, могут зарегистрироваться до
31 июля.

Dear all,
Wikimedia Turkic UG, in cooperation with Wikimedia Turkey, plans to hold a
conference for the Turkic communities in 2023. As before, we agreed that we
want to make this an annual conference. The conference will become a
sustainable platform for the gathering, discussion, and development of the
Turkic-speaking community. This will help in the exchange of experience as
well as for the development of the Wikimedia movement among the
Turkic-speaking communities.
To organize our conference, we will request a grant from the Wikimedia
Foundation, but before that, we need to know your priorities and views on
specific issues. To do this, we have prepared a survey[1] for you and it's
important that you complete this survey in order to prepare your grant
request.
