Language committee has not replied back my or informed the community the reason of this.
Even though language committee did not respond officially on this, Myself and Gerard had talked to Subhashish. If the Odia community is very sure about the orthography used, I don't see any issue. But during our Red Hat visit we came to know that it is not just one word, but there are some other words also in question. Subhashish explained me the issue in detail(he said he explained this to Gerard too), as I learned it is something debatable, but wiki community has no conflict on this. But langcomm wanted a third opinion and langcom usually get opinion on these issues from academic experts. I myself tried to get in touch with 3-4 people by email, but failed to get any reply. Subhashish also suggested some contacts, but they also did not respond so far. As a langcom policy we cannot reveal to whom we are trying to contact for academic opinion(language being very sensitive).
I will talk to langcom members again on this.
