Dear Wiki-World,
We want to keep you informed of our activities and projects, so this is the first in a series of weekly updates with the latest news.
It’s been a busy week for the WM ZA team!
FDC Proposal
As advised last week, we will be submitting our first ever FDC proposal on 1 April 2015. We have completed our https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WM_ZA_Annual_Strategic_Plan_2015-2016 annual strategic plan and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:APG/Proposals/2014-2015_round2/Wikimedia_ZA/Proposal_form proposal on meta, and these will now be reviewed by the WMZA Board of Trustees before final submission.
Business Banking
We are pleased to advise that we have finally managed to convert our account to online business banking. This should be up and running by the end of next week, and we are confident that this will address the issues we have been experiencing with making payments etc. All administrative functions and requests for payment will be done by the Administrator, and payments will be released by a Director, either Douglas Scott (President) or Dumisani Ndubane (Director).
VAT Registration
As our https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B96yUaPyFKiTbmFtSl9fYjBZWDA/view?usp=sharing first annual audit has been completed, we are now able to apply for VAT Registration with SARS. We hope to submit the necessary documentation by the end of next week, and will keep you up to date with the progress.
Wiki from Above
We are very excited about this new project!
