Welcome to the mailing list to discuss the Credo Reference account program. You should have received a separate welcome message when you were subscribed. As per that message, this mailing list accompanies the program at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Credo_accounts
In addition to all account recipients, I've added John Dove, President of Credo Reference, to the subscribers. The list is publicly archived and open to new, interested subscribers. I hope that it can eventually become a general forum for discussing such programs.
All best, Erik
Thank you very much for arranging this. The access is wonderful.
An article that was created using this resource is already in the queue to run on the main page.

It's the second entry: Lauro Aguirre was a civil engineer who became a journalist and was active in the rebellions that preceded the Mexican Revolution.
Best regards, Lise

Although I haven't created a DYK yet, I did add some info to an article using the Credo references.
The Credo website says that it should be possible for a Credo 250 member to modify the references that he or she has access to, out of the 500 available. However, when I go to the library admin site, I am told that I don't have admin credentials. Does anyone know if the references can be changed for individual users? Might be good for people working in specialized areas and the like.

Dana,
Credo250 subscribers are all institutions (generally academic or public libraries). Subscribing institutions provide access to individual users. The librarian can change which titles are included in the subscription, but not individual users. For now I am acting in the role of the library administrator for this account. In the future, if it is desirable and we can define an appropriate mechanism, I could see having someone on the Wikimedia staff taking on that role to define the content of this account.

Yeah, as soon as I got the email I randomly clicked biography/Chambers/Anna Airy, checked Wikipedia, and added a reference. Good stuff and a much appreciated tool from someone without regular library access (I work all day).
Thank you for providing this wonderful tool to us. I've already used it to help expand a couple Hundred Years War related articles. This is really a marvelous resource and makes a lot general purpose information available to us.

Erik and John, Thank you for arranging for access to Credo. I'm finding the search tools to be useful in the work that I'm doing on Wikipedia for Women's History Month. I'm working on a new article from the reference I found using Credo.

After I use Credo for awhile, I'll be happy to give you all feedback about it
Since I currently have no local access to a reference tool like this, I really appreciate the opportunity to use Credo.
