The September issue includes an invitation to join the discussion of WMDE's
annual plan 2013 draft version. There's an English translation on Meta and
you're most welcome to share your thoughts on the draft's talk page![2]
More from this month's report: Our Nicole Ebber recently introduced WMDE's
new International Affairs Unit in September. She posted her introductory
notes on the annual plan talk pages, as well, so check them out for
detailed information on her upcoming work[2, again].

Hi all,
the following translations have become available for the July 2012 and
August 2012 "Wikimedia Highlights", which combine some of the most
relevant information from the Wikimedia Foundation Report and the
Wikimedia engineering report for each month with a selection of other
important events from the Wikimedia movement. Help is welcome in
spreading the translated versions among the project communities for
these languages, where this has not already been done. As an
experiment starting with the August issue, notifications are being
posted on village pumps of projects in the corresponding language, for
the benefit of those Wikimedians who do not follow mailing lists and
social media channels.

Chapter held its second Annual General body Meeting on 23 Sep 2012. Arjuna
Rao Chavala, President welcomed the members to the meeting. Naveen PF,
Secretary presented a brief account of Chapter activities during the year
2011-2012. He highlighted the launch of Membership, large number of Wiki
Academies across India, Wiki Conference India 2011 and Wikimedia India
portal launch. On behalf of Anirudh Singh Bhati, Treasurer who could not
be present in the meeting, Arjuna presented the report of Auditor. Report
of activities and auditor’s report were approved by the general

Project highlights in this issue include:
Dispute Resolution Project - Steven Zhang compiled results of the August
trial at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard, and a Request for Comment on
an easier way to file dispute resolution requests is underway.
WikiWomen's Collaborative Project - Sarah Stierch and volunteer WikiWomen
around the world launched the WikiWomen's Collaborative, a social media
initiative connecting women who currently edit or aspire to edit Wikipedia.
Help Pages Redesign Project - Peter Coombe completed a redesign of English
Wikipedia's main help page and usability tests are being run to compare
users' experiences with it. Results will be compiled and a redesign
proposal will be brought to the community for discussion.
Small Wiki Editor Engagement Project - Tanvir Rahman launched the new help
page system on Bangla Wikipedia with pages that teach editors about new
article creation and other popular editing activities. Metrics are still
being collected but it appears article creation has already nearly doubled.
Teahouse Project - The Teahouse team refined automated invites and finished
improvements that surface hosting activity. The Teahouse pages are going
through a redesign to simplify the space for new editors, and we're looking
at creating a new volunteer "maitre d" role.
