A week ago, I sent a request to this list for members to review the
nominees at the link below and rank them from one (highest) to ten (lowest)
and send those to me.
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Affiliate-selected_Board_seats/2019/Nominat…
Two people so far have sent rankings to me.
Last night I listened in on the WALRUS conference call and learned some
things.
*You may assign any nominee any number. You could give several people the
same rank and skip other ranks. You don't have to rank every nominee.
For example, you could do something like this:
#1 Candidates A & B
#2 Candidate C
--
#5 Candidates D & E
--
#10 Candidate F
(No rank on the rest.)
*The board envisioned that each affiliate would have a discussion of the
candidates. To that end, I would encourage people, if they are willing, to
share with the group which candidates they favor more or less and why. You
are free to promote candidates or share concerns about them.
While the deadline for casting our collective vote is the end of May, it's
seldom wise to wait until the last day to do something. Let's get the
discussion going now so we can make an informed decision before the
deadline.
Comments and questions on this process are most welcome.

Greetings.
WikiMUG has been invited to vote on nominees for the Wikimedia Foundation
Board of Trustees in the 2019 Affiliate Selected Board seats process.
Nominations can be found here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Affiliate-selected_Board_seats/2019/Nominat…
Our collective vote, which I will cast, needs to be made by the end of May.
Please review the list of nominees and rank any you choose from 1 (highest)
to 10 (lowest). You can give the same rank to more than one candidate. You
are free to leave blanks for those you skip.
In the next two weeks, please reply with your rankings.
