Hello Minnesota Wikimedians,
At the meetup last Saturday we submitted an application to be recognized
as a user group, Wikimedia Minnesota User Group (WMUG). Please add your
name to the user group page
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Minnesota_User_Group> on Meta
if you are interested.
I'd also like to invite you to join us for some of our upcoming events:
February 11: An edit-a-thon focusing on artists from marginalized
communities will be held at the Loft Literary Center on Thursday,
February 11 from 6-8pm. Sign up here
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Minnesota/Loft_Literary_Cent…>.
March 5: The annual Art+Feminism edit-a-thon will be held at
Minneapolis Central Library on Saturday, March 5 from 11 to 5. Sign up

To prepare we'll be doing a "train the trainers" session at the library
on February 22 at 4pm. Contact me if you are interested in being involved.
There will also be an edit-a-thon on June 18
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Loves_Pride_2016/Minnesota> for
Wiki Loves Pride at the Minneapolis Central Library. Another event on
the horizon is a scan-a-thon of National Register files with the
Minnesota Historical Society.
