Hi everyone,
I don't know how many people are actually subscribed to this list, or if this will make much of a difference, but I'm one of the founders of Orain, a wikifarm. We're nonprofit, open source, and ad-free.
We just recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to help stabilize our resources and stay online, while remaining ad-free and nonprofit. Our campaign is doing fairly well, we're at 35% of our goal, but I was hoping that someone, anyone really, in this list could donate? Even if it's just a dollar, it pushes us that much closer to our goal.
Of course, if you have any questions I'd love to answer them.
The campaign is here: http://igg.me/at/orain
Is advertising even allowed on this list? Someone remind me what the purpose even is... since nobody ever posts to it.

I'm not sure if it is or not, but considering the cause and the fact that we're non-profit and open source, I took the risk. I apologize if I offended you.
I can't imagine that advertising a MediaWiki-based wiki farm would be frowned upon on the Wikimedia wiki farm mailing list.

Hey, let's go with it :-)
So Dustin, tell us about your site, how you have the farm set up, etc! How do you manage the Mediawiki code? How are you dealing with the new SOA world of MediaWiki, with Parsoid as a separate daemon etc?

Nemo - We do have a MW Testers wiki, as well as a testwiki that you're more than welcome to play with :) http://mediawikitesters.orain.org and http://testwiki.org. We're also on IRC #orain (freenode)
We do allow for custom domains as well - hence the TestWiki. We also have another like SpiralWiki which is http://spiral.wiki
The farm is set up and managed openly. Everything is visible on GitHub - https://github.com/Orain
At the moment we don't run Parsoid. It's on the table and we haven't incorporated it yet with our current farm as we're going to be moving to either a different long term host or purchasing our own servers and all of our time has been focused on that. At the moment we're running off of several servers (aka prods in github) and are with DigitalOcean.
