Despite it taking almost a month for me to get around to this. Session
management and logins on WikiApiary are fixed.[1]
We're still in the process of moving WikiApiary from Linode to the
Wikimedia Cloud Services[2]. The intern who is working on this is in the
middle of finals, but should be able to complete it soon after.
When that happens, more people will be able to kick the server than just
me.
Thank you for your patience,
Mark.

Sam,
We have added www.wikiapiary.com to the cert and renewed it. We have also set the cert to automatically renew via cron job so that (hopefully) there are no more problems like this.
Hello,
My name is T. Basil Hershberger. I am an engineering major at the University of Pittsburgh. I am interning with NicheWork, and Mark Hershberger is my father.
Mark and I are working to move Wikiapiary from the old Linode servers to Wikimedia Cloud Services (WMCS) .
We are hoping that the move will be smooth as we transfer the data and set up the new instance.
I’m no expert. As I work and learn, I would appreciate your help. I look forward to interacting with you.

We tried to update the SSL cert via letsencrypt today and ran into
trouble.
Since this is the first time we have renewed a cert this way, we had
trouble understanding the commands.
Anyway, we ended up blocking us from doing the renewal for about a week.
Which means the cert on the site will be broken for about a week.
See this post for an explanation:

Sorry for the trouble,
Mark.

In case anyone didn't notice:
wikiapiary.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate
expired on 27/06/17 13:00. The current time is 03/07/17 15:33.
The major problem here is that Firefox doesn't even let me proceed with the
security warning, so wikiapiary is completely down for me until the cert is
renewed or someone disable HTTPS altogether :)

During this week I've found the site hardly usable, with pages that take
more than one minute to load (basycally the bookmarklet for checking if a
wiki is already on wikiapiary to add it).
Now the site just gives me an HTTP 503 error, or sometimes it loads but
without styles being applied (after a long time to load).
Posting it here in case operators are not aware of those issues.
Thanks

I inherited the site from Jamie Thingelstad and have been focused mostly on just keeping it up right now.
However, I am interested in doing more with it. It would be interesting to see what uses of OpenBadges we can come up with.
(I've copied the WikiApiary mailing list so that people there can chime in.)
