PUMPKIPEDIA. Great find by Zack. I move we post, *targeted to U.S.* this weekend:
If you're carving a Jack-o'-lantern this weekend, there's a certain globe that could provide inspiration. See "pumpkipedia" photos here: http://buff.ly/1LSv3Cp. And more about Jack-o'-lanterns here: http://buff.ly/1LSvc8Y.
And on Twitter simply:

Hello,
FYI, this was done two years ago, by Ed Sanders, who's our lead engineer on the VisualEditor team. We tweeted about it then: https://twitter.com/Wikipedia/status/395613567317069824
This isn't to say that we can't do a repeat this year, but I just wanted to provide the historical context.

These are awesome. I'm sure they're also reasonably well-known in the UK though (I assume that's the reason we're targeting the US?).

Heh, especially since Ed is British ... Welsh?
Jack o lanterns are pretty popular (and originally started in I believe) in the British isles at least so I'd add both UK and Ireland but honestly they and Halloween are universal enough at this point I wouldn't argue with untargeted either.
