Hi everyone,
So, I have a question. How do we respond to these types of questions on social media? I have a tweet from Diplo's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing#Policies_and_conventions account asking for helping editing the English Wikipedia article on his other project, Major Lazor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_Lazer.
Can we just tweet from @wikipedia the "Help:Editing" page? Or tweet for his to write on the article's talk page requesting the change for the article's photo?
Thoughts?
It’s kind of tricky since he probably shouldn’t be editing the article himself since he has a conflict of interest. But this is a pretty cool opportunity to get a little PR boost for the Twitter account.
Personally I’d point him to Help:Editing (or point him to the OTRS email addresses?)

Oh, also, be aware that Diplo is famously somewhat… abrasive on Twitter.

Thanks for the input Joe and Naureen. I'm glad you brought up the conflict of interest, Joe. This is the best link I think: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Contact_us_-_Subjects
and the email would be this one, I believe: info-en-q@wikimedia.org

It’d be good to write up a handbook for these kinds of situations (if there isn’t already a handbook available for dealing with Twitter things). I don’t think “I want someone to edit my Wikipedia biography” is a rare thing for folk to be tweeting :)
