Yes, I agree that this would be better:

We probably don't want to say today anymore. :)
Thank you both so much!
(the earlier copy was from my own tweet on my personal account, which needed to establish WMF as the source of the report.)

That’s a good idea :) I don’t have the means to post this under the Wikimedia handles, but as soon as we can sort out the WMF/our thing, we should be good to go!

Thanks, Joe.
Yes, please tweak as needed.
I just wanted to start the thread, so we don’t forget.
We're in an offsite today, so didn’t have a lot of time to make the copy perfect :)

Hey social media team,
We just published a blog post about the making of the annual report, by our own Heather Walls:
https://blog.wikimedia.org/2015/01/21/annual-report/
Congrats again to Heather and everyone who worked on this absolutely wonderful report :)
Here are some ideas for how to spread the word on social networks:
Twitter (@wikimedia/@wikipedia):
Today, WMF launched our 7th Annual Report. Here’s the story of how it was created. (link)
This is really weird to my ears. “WMF” is a thing, and combining it with “our” is a mismatch in this instance. If we’re tweeting from @wikimedia, then I’d suggest “we” instead of “WMF”. Otherwise, try “...WMF launched its…”?
Facebook/Google+
Today, WMF launched our 7th Annual Report. This year’s theme: knowledge is a foundation. Here’s the story of how this report was created. (link)
I like the snappiness, but my above point still stands for this.
Joe
Please help us get the word out about this story :)
Thanks!
