Hi everyone,
This pic from NASA shows how a flame looks different on earth vs. the
International Space Station.

Thoughts on sharing?

Hey folks :)
Wikidata will be turning 3 on the 29th of this month. A lot will be
going on online and offline. I'll be tweeting on the day (and some on
the days leading up to it) over the Wikidata account on Twitter.
There'll also be some on the Google+ and Facebook pages. I am also
preparing this year's on-wiki page at
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Third_Birthday which will have
op-eds, congratulations, presents, videos and more. (Last year's is at
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Second_Birthday so you can see
where this is going.) There will also be a party in Berlin.
It'd be great if you could help a bit with amplifying the message via
social media over the next two weeks. Main point to get across imho
is: "Wikidata is changing the world and you can be a part of it. Let's
celebrate!"
Cheers
Lydia

Hello everyone,
Today, marks the birthday of American poet, Sylvia Plath. Here is some
proposed social media messages. Thank you for reviewing!
Credited with advancing the genre of confessional poetry, today marks the
birthday of American poet, novelist and short-story writer, Sylvia Plath.
You can find her complete list of works here.

Not a bad idea to self-comment to include the link to her Wikiquote page as
well.
Some of Plath's work is also on Wikiquote:

Of course we are already asking for (and getting) social content from the
whole movement with this list. See also the list description at
https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/social-media . That said, some
community members might prefer posting on a wiki.
As a reminder, in August there was already some discussion about reviving
the Meta page (in the same thread); here is my takeaway from that on why
the parallel wiki/mailing list process didn't quite work out back in
2013/14 and what might be required to make it work:

Dear Jeff et al,
My apologies, I missed your response in a digest. Thank you for the retweet
from the @Wikimedia Twitter account. If there was a Facebook post, I missed
it. Possible to post from WikiPedia? This event is pretty specific to
Wikipedia (though I suppose Wikisource may get a nod).
Registration for "virtual attendance" is of course open right up until the
event Wednesday evening, so a post on Tuesday or Wednesday is still
relevant and helpful.
Thanks again!
