This looks like an awesome activity, especially doing it globally at some
level, it would be awesome to get a quick blog post up but I imagine it's a
bit late but perhaps at least some SM posts?

Subject: [Wikimedia-l] Nobel Peace Prize announcement and editathon
To: Wikimedia Mailing List <wikimedia-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
Hi, all!
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize will be announced this Friday, and in
cooperation with Wikimedia Norge, the Nobel Peace Center
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobel_Peace_Center> has invited Wikipedians
from the Norwegian Wikipedia community to an editathon to improve the
article about the winner(s?) as soon as possible. We'll be sitting
practically in the next room from where the announcement is made, updating
relevant articles as fast as we can.
For this to be a global event, I'd like to invite anyone who's interested
to join us in the IRC channel #wikipedia-nobel
<irc://freenode/#wikipedia-nobel>, where we'll be talking and coordinating.
We'll also try to livetweet the event using the hashtag #wikinobel
<https://twitter.com/hashtag/wikinobel>, probably mainly from the account
@WikimediaNorge <https://twitter.com/WikimediaNorge>.
The press conference will be start around 10:30 Norwegian time, which is
*08:30
UTC*, like I said on *Friday, 10th of October*. Please join us, and help
spread this invitation to your community.

Hi all,
Program Evaluation and Design is trying to get community engaged in finding
out the history of some popular Wikimedia programs. For this matter, we
posted a question on Meta and would like to invite users via Twitter to
answer.
Here is the proposed SM:
*t:* Do you know how Wikimedia hackathons started? Help @WikiEval
<https://twitter.com/WikiEval> learn more abt the origin of programs.
Comment here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants_talk:Evaluation#The_history_of_Wikim…
*f/g+:* Wikimedia Program Evaluation is looking into the history of
Wikimedia programs. If you know how the first Hackathon was organized, who
was coordinating the activity or any other information, comment on the Talk
Page on the Evaluation portal on Meta!

Hi All,
at the Learning and Evaluation team, we are reaching out to all program
leaders to submit their data around programs that took place in 2013. This
is what we call the II Round of Data Collection. The first round took place
last year, and it helped us build the Programs Report(beta), a document
that describes the most typical Wikimedia programs, and how they contribute
to the movement's goals. (Read more here).

Here is the proposed SM for this initiative, please feel free to edit and
contribute:
*t: *Did you coordinate a Wikimedia program/project in 2013-14? @WikiEval
<https://twitter.com/WikiEval> wants your program's data! Join Data
Collection

*f/g+:* Wikimedia Program Evaluation has launched the II Round of Data
Collection, the most epic data gathering in the movement. If you
coordinated a Wikimedia program or project in 2013-14, you can contribute
your program's data and help us learn more about the movements initiatives.
Other report forms are also welcome! Read more here:
