It's hilariously funny, but has a really cliched plot. Tropes from every kind of sci-fi movie galore, to the point where I think it might be a satire.

If they were brave enough to go a little farther, there were some fascinating ideas to be explored. They took the safest route. Regardless, still worth a watch and it's very fun overall.
