Just to inform that I had been invited by Amical Viquipedia (an association linked to Cat Wik) to do a presentation of the Research Committe goals at a panel on Research and Wikipedia at the Open University of Catalonia next Marc 15th. that's awesome, I look forward to hearing from you after the panel. Shall we start a page on meta to track talks and other events by RCom members (or sponsored by the RCom)? Something like a table with date, type of event (talk, panel, paper, blogpost etc.), title and name of the people involved?
I created a highlights box on the frontpage of the Research Committee section on Meta, feel free to add any active items as you see fit.

I think it can be a good idea. In my view, considering the committe is quiet new, it is good to make actions to spread around that it exists and for what.
