Dear all,
I received an expression of interest from the chairs of WebSci '11 (an ACM conference held in Koblenz on June 14-17, 2011 [1]) as a possible venue to host an RCom-sponsored panel. They would be happy to invite us to discuss major research challenges that Wikipedia is facing after its 10th anniversary. I think this would make a great opportunity to reach out to a broader research community than WikiSym/Wikimania and to engage a discussion on areas the committee is specifically interested in prioritising.
The organisers asked me to come back to them shortly with an overview of possible topics for the panel: your input on this is very welcome. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending, so I can start putting together a proposal. If we get the green light we can then discuss the actual contents during the next RCom meeting.
Best, Dario
