'lo again.
Yes, we should send this out for WQ-2. It will both be appreciated, despite the date, and good practice. It will guarantee that we get feedback from people on the list about what kinds of email they would like to see; and we should try to remember and store which ones would like full-html or full-PDFs...
The reply-to should go to newsletter@wikimedia, which will be in OTRS. The link to the talk page should also stay; not everyone likes using email.for correspondence, even if they like receiving it. (And on-wiki are usually better for the community)

Great, I didn't mean to sound impatient - just wanted to say that the list hadn't been set up and that I hadn't heard back from Fire. About the email I've been working on, are we going to send it out to people for issue 2 if it has already been publicised? Just wondering if there's any point in asking for translations. Links from the left column would still be good - in my ignorance, i can't be sure of the non-roman script languages, and for some reason I can't get the Romanian foundation link to work. So little tweaks would be good - if we are actually going to send this mail, instead of wait until Quarto3... Also, who should we give as the contact for further questions, or will we put it as a link to the Quarto talk page? Cormac

Anthere, that's right. Cormac, it took a little while for the necessary people to coordinate, and to clarify exactly which list would be on OTRS, but the mailing list is being implemented. You should get email once your OTRS account is set up.

I think I've done about as much on the email as I can. I've taken out the image because, having read up about it, it seems to be harder than I originally thought to put these things inline. So, my version for the moment is attached with links working links as much as possible, anchored, and Spanish translation. Aphaia, could you possibly get some others translated? Also, I've added the text code of the email onto the Quarto talk page: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:WQ You could change it there yourselves (if html isn't too daunting) or email me with your changes, translations etc. There are details like the little sign under the c in Francais or the accents in Romana which i can't do, so I'll need your help on that. Still no feedback from mailing list people - will email the others you mentioned, Anthere - I have Brion's contact details, but who is Kate? Cheers Cormac
Hiya,
I perplex because I saw Fire on the irc yesterday, and he confirmed me that SJ had contacted him about the new list... I'll ask him again unless SJ can confirm the state of this...
Just checking... Fire is not online right now.
