I have been running pywikiapedia on 1.16 for past year and a 1/2. Upgraded to 1.17 and it is now returning errors.
Do I need to upgrade pywikiapedia, what has changed in the API to break it?
Thanks Tom
Please be a bit more precise. Which script causes problems, and what is the error meassage?

Besides the questions Bináris asked: which version of pywikipediabot are you running?

Get data Error in int() base 10: then references to a line number depending on which bot I am running.
I can login just fine with -family:mywiki
Password entered says I should now be logged in. Run a routine and it spits out an error.
Of course I should probably add that at the time of the upgrade I also enabled semantic mediawiki on the website. Of course I went back to my family file and updated all the namespaces. Is there something that I'm missing?
Is there some type of maintenance script that I need to run. I just don't understand why I can login just fine, but I can do nothing with any of the other scripts, it always dumps out with an error.
For what it is worth, here is the version I'm running and one of the actual errors...
Pywikipedia (r8466 (wikipedia.py), 2010/08/27, 20:27:07) Python 2.7 (r27:82525, Jul 4 2010, 09:01:59) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] config-settings: use_api = True use_api_login = True

C:\pywikipedia>login.py -family:encphillipswiki Password for user Wikibot on encphillipswiki:en: Logging in to encphillipswiki:en as Wikibot via API. Should be logged in now
C:\pywikipedia>clean_sandbox.py Error downloading data: invalid literal for int() with base 10: '210, 210' Request en:/w/api.php?inprop=protection%7Ctalkid%7Csubjectid%7Curl%7Creadable&format=json&rvprop=content%7Cids %7Cflags%7Ctimestamp%7Cuser%7Ccomment%7Csize&prop=revisions%7Cinfo&titles=Project%3ASandbox&rvlimit=1&action=q uery Retrying in 1 minutes...
which of course then fails, goes to 2 minutes..., 3 minutes..., etc...
I tried to generate a new family file, which returned my API probably isn't on. Untrue, I use AutowikiBot all the time, worked great with 1.16 and now with 1.17 upgrade.
I never could get pywikipedia to work with another 1.16 wiki I admin, so I gave up completely using pywikipedia on it. I am about at this point, and ready to write pywikipedia off completely as I have never, ever had a problem using autowikiBot. It just works and works extremely well.
Now when I type in login.py or login.py -help or login.py -family:mywiki it just returns to the command prompt, pywikipedia>, so login.py is now broken.
Thanks for any help--- Tom

Please include the *complete error* (i.e. everything from "Traceback (most recent call last):" to "DataError..." - you can copy text in cmd,exe using right-click-mark, then actually marking the text, then right clicking again).
Next, please include user-config.py (replace any information you deem too personal with <redacted>') and include the output of version.py.
In addition, as you're working on a non-mediawiki wiki, please also include your family file.
Best, Merlijn

Sorry, I should first read all the mails instead of replying to them starting with the oldest. Please respond to xqt's mail instead of mine.
