Hi.
I pulled from git the compat version and I got these errors when trying to get pages from en, wikisource.
Getting [[Category:Author pages linking to Wikipedia]] list... Getting 125 pages from wikisource:en... WARNING: Missing namespace in family file wikisource: namespace['en'][114] (it is set to 'Translation') WARNING: Missing namespace in family file wikisource: namespace['en'][115] (it is set to 'Translation talk')
I guess these namespaces need to be added to wikisource_family.py
BTW, I operate MpaaBot on en:WS based on pywikipediabot. I have some python knowledge (but I'm not a professional developer) and would be nice to contribute to this project in my spare time. Any advice on where/how one could help? If I am welcome, you could list areas where you need help, and I could pick what is more suitable for my knowledge level and interest.
Bye Mpaa
Hi Mpaa
you can read this: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikipediabot/Gerrit
and you can easily submit patches
Best

Help is always very welcome. Amir already replied with the more technical aspect - everyone can submit patches to Gerrit, including you! :-)
Help is welcome on all areas! It really depends on what you're interested to work on - and what you're interested to learn. Some ideas:
- The conversion of bugs from sourceforge to bugzilla would not teach you a lot on pywikipedia, but it would be really appreciated :-) The current source code is available under the 'sf-export' project: https://git.wikimedia.org/summary/pywikibot%2Fsf-export.git / https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/q/status:open+project:pywikibot/sf-export,n... For more details on what still needs to be done, please check https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikipediabot/Migrating_to_bugzilla or ask Legoktm (Kunal Mehta) - legoktm@gmail.com
- To get to know Gerrit, consider moving a few patches from http://sourceforge.net/p/pywikipediabot/patches/ to Gerrit.
Some bugs in trunk that might be interesting: - https://sourceforge.net/p/pywikipediabot/bugs/1482/ (archivebot.py) - https://sourceforge.net/p/pywikipediabot/bugs/1633/ ('no handlers could be found' error - this error should probably be suppressed.)
Apart from that, any improvements in documentation (both the documentation in code and the documentation on-line) are always very welcome.

Hi Merlijn.
Thanks for the info.
I looked at - https://sourceforge.net/p/pywikipediabot/bugs/1482/ (archivebot.py) and posted a comment there on a possible fix.
I am notifying here as I am not sure the post will show up on someone's watchlist and I am not up and running with Gerrit yet due to issues with port 29418 (BTW, very annoying, would be nicer to have it on port 22 ...)
So if you feel like (or Legoktm, as he recently added a note) might be interested and take a look.
