Hello,
I am writing a bot to upload svn commited files to my MediaWiki. The authentication is done by LDAP / Active Directory. For humans it works. But with my bot it fails:
PHP Warning: ldap_start_tls(): Unable to start TLS: Can't contact LDAP server in /var/www/mediawiki-git/extensions/LdapAuthentication/LdapAuthentication.php on line 576
Where is my error? Thank you very much.
Best regards Mario
Just an idea: try to counterfeit a user agent of a real browser. It may be a totally wrong approach, but worth a try.

This is a bug in the MediaWiki extension. You should file a bug for that in bugzilla (https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=MediaWiki%20extensions).
As for solving it. Are you sure you set the (right) LDAP domain in your family file as described at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikipediabot/Use_on_third-party_wikis... ?

Hi Maarten,
thank you for your help.
I have set the "self.ldapDomain = ('abc')".
I am using the pywikipedia-rewrite at the moment. I have searched the code, but ldapdomain is not used. Is the pywikipedia-rewrite able to login to LDAP? If yes. How do I set the domain?
Best regards Mario

No clue about rewrite and LDAP, try trunk, it works with LDAP (I use that at several wiki's).
