Hi,
I started a new wiki on wikia.com. I created a family file for it (luckily, I found wowwiki_family, which colud be copied and modified), and made a successful edit while commented out my Wikipedia usernames in user-config.py.
Now, the question is, how can I use these two together? One day I would like to edit Wikipedia, and on the other day my wikia wiki. So, how can I tell the bot, which wiki to work on? (lang is 'hu' on both, the family is different)
use the -family command

Every time? Oh, my god! Is there a way to make Wikipedia deafult, and use this parameter only to the other one? Wikipedia is my bot's main territory.

use the -family command
Set the wikipedia as "family = " in user-config.py and then use the parameter everytime you want to use it on Wikia..

Thank you, i'll try this. By this time, I had no family line in my user-config.py, and it worked on Wikipedia without it.

BTW, not a big problem, just a question. In ***_family.py there is a version function. The bot claimed that it returned an incorrect number: WARNING: Family file xxxx contains version number 1.15.1, but it should be 1.15.5 Once the but can detect the version, is it necessary to have it redundantly in the family file?

The version number tells pywikipediabot what functions will work with the Wiki, for a version number, check Special:Version, and you could just update the version number at the bottom of the family file, or re-write it, to stop pybot harassing you.

Oh, I was not clear then. I did rewrite it. The question is, why to store it in the family file if the bot checks (and can check) itself. This is pure redundance,
