Hi, Name of this project is really confusing. sometimes we use pywikipedia, sometimes pywikibot, and sometimes more strange names like PyWikipediaBot:
I think we have to move this page and all of the subpages to Pywikibot. As we used this name in the Git repository, new mailing lists, and so many other places
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/PWB
What do you think? Is there any objection or suggestion?
Best
+1 for Pywikibot, its tiny and likeable.

yes of course

Agreed +1 for Pywikibot
Keep in mind -- this naming should propagate throughout the project.
Things like... the basic directory structure -- Currently is "pywikipedia", etc.

BUT had someone ever a look to [1]?? It is and was from beginning on just a redirect to [2]... so WHAT do you want to move here? What subpages?
[1] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/PWB [2] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Pywikipediabot
I would tend and create redirects to the pages mentioned by xqt and then link their sources: * Python Wikipedia Robot Framework * Pywikipediabot * Pywikipedia * Pywikibot * pwb * not to forget wikibooks on [3]

LoL ...
If one "googles" -- "Python Wikipedia Robot Framework"
At the top of the list one gets "Robot Framework" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_Framework - It is unclear exactly what ( if any) relationship this page has to pywikipediabot -- other than they are both written in Python and are called "robot".
Next there is: "Python wikipedia robot framework" at: http://pywikipediabot.sourceforge.net/ -- which appears to be "us," except t hat the page still refers to SVN, and the project links to OLD wikimedia pages... which in turn re-direct to mediawiki... ooops... clearly the page(s) at Sourceforge need updating.

That is probably the page I created back in 2004-2005 or so :D
Someone even had an API doc generated at: http://pywikipediabot.sourceforge.net/doc/

Both of them are redirected to this:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikipediabot
So we want to move it to: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikibot
(And all of subpages) and we encourage people to use this name (and we use and correct names eveywhere as much as we can to save homogeneity)
And this is the list of subpages: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/Manual:Pywikipediabot
I would tend and create redirects to the pages mentioned by xqt and then link their sources:

I said " we used ... in ... new mailing lists" So I meant an existing mailing list that has been created recently (i.e. pywikibot-commits-l)
Happy bike shedding, I'll just wait for the result.
I think It worth doing in long-term because the names are making newbies very confused (I got some feedback about it)
