What I had expected to see:
Retrieving Allpages special page for wikipedia:ksh from Wikipedia:Medmaacher%20kan, namespace 14
Thus, I believe, there are too man "Namepace" prefixes stripped. If I recall it right, another page generator had a similar problem in the past which was fixed.

Thank you for the quick response.
I updated to the new revision, and the situation is not really better. It
seems, prefixindex in not working, somehow.
In fact, there are several categories "User *" from the Babel system in
the cu wikipedia, but:
(1) Try:
python /home/purodha/pywikipedia/interwiki.py -v -lang:cu
-prefixindex:Category:User

I am wondering that it says "Retrieving Allpages special page ...", not
"... Prefixindex ..."

I am not wondering anymore :-) but was expecting that, now,
"Category:User" should be looked for in NS 14, not "User"
(4) Try:
I had used -start:... as a poor replacement for -prefixindex:... before,
it works (partially) by returning pages (but incorrectly claims they were
in another namespace)

Although I cannot read Japanese, I strongly suspect the key to the error
is found in the following extract from the HTML dump:
<div
class='previewnote'><p><strong>セッションが切断されたため編集を保存できません。もう一度やりなおしてください。それでも失敗する場合、ログアウトしてからログインし直してください。</strong>
</p></div>
My guess is that this is the Japanese equivalent of the English string
"Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data.
Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging
back in."
Once a bot starts getting this response on a page save, it will get it
forever as far as I can tell, so ignoring the PageNotSaved error and trying
again won't work. But stopping the bot and starting again often clears the
problem. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers this response (it
may be a server-side bug, not client-side, in which case there is nothing
we can do about it here, but I'm not even sure of that yet).

Summary: Use the unlocalized magic word '#REDIRECT' in jawp
Initial Comment:
The following is a copy of a message to the pywikipedia-l mailing list, because nobody answered there.
Hello everyone.
I'm a sysop in Japanese Wikipedia.
Please make a little change for pywiki. In JAWP the magic word '転送'(
the localized magic word of 'REDIRECT') don't work because of, I think, a bug of a MediaWiki extention. One bot made many unworkable redirect pages. Please use the magic word unlocalized 'REDIRECT' in jawp.

Summary: WARNING messages in a separate log file
Initial Comment:
May we have interwiki WARNING messages placed in a separate file, e.g. 'warnings.log' into 'log' subfolder? and maybe adapt -log/-nolog options accordingly. And maybe have different logging levels: no log, only warnings (warnings.log), only notes (notes.log), full log (interwiki.log)?
This will help identify obsolete namespaces in family files, for example.
