So, we were supposed to decide upon the structure of pywikipedia 2.0 (out of
a better name).
It should be easier to collaborate on a wiki page, so hop in:
http://www.botwiki.sno.cc/wiki/Rewrite
Add, expand, make wishlists, restructure (did I mention it's the first time
I'm creating a project from scratch?).
Let's agree upon some rough structure and the let's move it to SVN -
starting with dummy files filled with dummy classes and empty methods - from
there on we'll see more clearly what's left to do.

Hello !
While doing a very long job, my bot got blocked because I was not
online to stop it manually.
I never got blocked, and I thought that detecting a block would stop
any task, but it does not, it just goes on, trying to edit next pages

I say the framework should stop after X consecutive page locks : Here,
the admin blocked the bot account for four hours, and then unblocked
it to see if the bot had stopped. And, as soon as the bot got
unblocked, it started editing again so he blocked the bot for a day.

The current gzip module in the Python library sucks. It requires
seekable file objects. This means that, in case you have a socket as
file object, you need to read() it out to a string, put it in a
StringIO and pass that on to the gzip module. This is not only a very
bad way of programming, it also may cause memory issues for large
files. What I would like is a gzip module that performs buffering
itself, so that it can be used (in the new api) without the
intermediate step of the StringIO.
Anybody in for a job ;) ?
