Initial Comment: Commonscat.py should ignore the case of the first letter: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Angel&diff=prev&oldid=4453...

It should also ignore trailing spaces at the end of the template: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AIGA&diff=prev&oldid=45168...

And underscores: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AIGA&action=historysubmit&...
