Initial Comment: Currently are done in source code directly. It's much easier to do translations at http://translatewiki.net/ like is done with mediawiki for example.

We probably have three kinds of translations: 1. Edit summaries 2. Edits itself 3. Messages shown to the user

This request is aimed at the first.

Message: Strong support. I was playing about that stuff implementing it. As Siebrand explained some time ago, we need a separate class holding all these translations. But I am uncertain whether this would exhaustly increase the needed memory for using the scripts.
