Summary: Additional options for pagegenerators.py
Initial Comment:
Two other generators for pagegenerators.py
-xlink (similar to -link): reads links on a webpage rather than a file
-check : for WikiProject Check Wikipedia reports on toolserver

If there is interest, I could integrate the first generator with
"untaggedGenerator" in add_text.py

Summary: titles from file for pagegenerators.py
Initial Comment:
Additional option "-plainfile" reads titles from text files without square brackets ("-file")
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Comment By: sigmaoctantis (sigmaoctantis)
Date: 2009-05-07 04:40
Message:
Thanks. For some encodings/systems, the initial title would need to be
stripped of any BOM

I think I will commit this patch tomorrow with a slightly changed
docstring.

Comment By: NicDumZ — Nicolas Dumazet (nicdumz)
Date: 2009-05-01 01:08
Message:
looks good to me. I was pretty sure that some generator already allowed to
use one title per line, but I can't find it anymore. (?)

Date: 2009-04-30 14:11
Message:
It is better than two separate options. I tested it and it works with files
in both formats.

Message:
A preliminary patch to enhance -file option as described is attached. Any
comments?

Thanks, I updated it accordingly. Feel free to combine the two.

Comment By: Francesco Cosoleto (cosoleto)
Date: 2009-04-30 12:09
Message:
f.readline() should be used instead of re.findall().
I think we have a too populated list of options. Probably it's better to
change -file to interpret line as page titles when no [[title]] is found,
instead of adding yet another option.

I found in cs.wiki dismabiguations with template {{acrònim}}
This one is mentioned in wikipedia-family.py, but bot doesn't recogbnize it as disambiguation (e.g. http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/TK )
Next problem with unrecognised disambiguation is in zh(e.g. http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/TI ), where is used construction

Summary: interwiki goes over only one new file
Initial Comment:
Pywikipedia nightly:pywikipedia (r6605, Apr 14 2009, 16:55:58)
Python 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Jun 15 2008, 18:24:56)
[GCC 4.3.0 20080428 (Red Hat 4.3.0-8)]
command:
python interwiki.py -namespace:6 -new
runs only on one new file, not 100.
trying to specify other number (eg. -new:10) will also run on one and not according to the number specified.
doesn't occure on other namespaces.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
>Comment By: Multichill (multichill)
Date: 2009-05-06 14:08
Message:
-new uses the new pages generator. Only manually created pages and not
uploads show up in this generator. See for example
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ANewPages&namespace…
and
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:NewFiles
Use the -newimages generator for recent uploads
