Message:
It seems, that the login works fine if you use the default path (which is
not described), e.g. 127.0.0.1/elysium/w/index.php...
In this case you can delete the "def path" definition, uncomment "apipath"
(for unknown reason, because the api is accessible) and then the login
works.
Family file should look like (whole Wiki MUST be under
htdocs\elysium\w\...:

Summary: Great Waste of CPU and/or RAM on interwiki.py and replace.py
Initial Comment:
Hello, I have a lot of regex to run with replace.py and I've group them in the fixes.py file and make it run through the whole italian wikipedia. But, after 1-2 days of running, the program was wasting this amount of resources:
filnik 32709 8.9 11.1 1074936 903376 pts/113 Sl+ Mar12 357:09 python2.5 pynik <etc...>
Re-running the bot (from the page that it has reached) I have that:
filnik 31372 2.8 0.2 193564 21992 pts/113 Sl+ 11:58 0:17 python2.5 pynik <etc...>
That's A LOT less than before! So, what the hell is happening? why the Bot doesn't release the resources that it uses when they aren't need any more?
The same appends for interwiki.py, I have tried to use python2.5 instead of 2.4 but without any results. I've also tried to use "del" on python but no results also with that.
So, any Idea? Filnik
P.S. Fix that bug would improve the use of interwiki.py on the toolserver and of replace.py, I think the most used scripts, so I've set 8 as importance.

I have done some tests: the problem seem caused by some del statement in
code it seem mostly due to the del instruction in def replaceLinks(self,

I have tried to fix it, using a new.remove instead del new... but without
success

# Note:

Hi! I've got the same error.
* I disabled the firewall, checked the status of wiki, mysql, apache

* I tried the url in Firefox and it worked (opened the Special:Userlogin
page).
* I tried it on two different PCs - one time xampp, one time manually set
up apache, php and mysql, but same error.
* I tried it with sysop account, too, but same error.
Any help is greatly appreciated, too!
Thanks in advance!

Summary: Could followlive accept multiple arguments?
Initial Comment:
It would be nice if followlive.py were to allow adding
multiple templates at a go. Many new articles merit
both a {{cleanup}} and a {{stub}}, or a {{categorize}}
and a {{verify}}, and etc. As it is, followlive
apparently only allows one numerical argument, forcing
choices as to whether a given article merits
{{cleanup}} or {{verify}} more, and other decisions
which should not have to be made.

Yes, that is the plan. The major obstacle at this point is that the API

Initial Comment:
Sorry, but nothing i try works.
I just downloaded r7844, tried again the login.py, but failed with new error messages.
It should be easy:
* local installed MediaWiki 1.13.1
* Windows XP
* path: d:\xampp\htdocs\elysium
* Wikiname: Elysium
* user-config.py:
family = 'elysium'
mylang = 'en'
usernames['elysium']['en'] = 'WikiBot'
*
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*- # REQUIRED
import config, family, urllib # REQUIRED
class Family(family.Family): # REQUIRED
def __init__(self): # REQUIRED
family.Family.__init__(self) # REQUIRED
self.name = 'elysium' # REQUIRED; replace with actual name
self.langs = { # REQUIRED
'en': '127.0.0.1/elysium', # Include one line for each wiki in family
}
# IMPORTANT: if your wiki does not support the api.php interface,
# you must uncomment the second line of this method:
def apipath(self, code):
raise NotImplementedError, "%s wiki family does not support api.php" % self.name
return '%s/api.php' % self.scriptpath(code)
# Which version of MediaWiki is used? REQUIRED
def version(self, code):
# Replace with the actual version being run on your wiki
return '1.13.1'
def code2encoding(self, code):
"""Return the encoding for a specific language wiki"""
# Most wikis nowadays use UTF-8, but change this if yours uses
# a different encoding
return 'utf-8'
#def path(self, code):
# return '/elysium'

Sorry, hit the button too quick:
If i try above version of elysium_family.py i get error message for url
127.0.0.1/elysium/w/index.php...
How do i get rid of the "w"?
If i try and uncomment the lowest part with "def path" the path will be
127.0.0.1/elysium/elysium/index.php...
If i set self.langs to 127.0.0.1 without "elysium", the path should be
correct, but the error message is "wrong password or CAPTCHA answer"
I really don't know how to get it working.
Thanks in advance.
