Hello.
Can you read anywhere that someone has fixed the bug?
I can't. The bug is still marked as open.
Also, this has _always_ been like this. Always. Nothing has changed on
pywikipedia side for detection of templates for en.wikipedia, ever.
If someone feels he can implement a patch ( see
http://www.mail-archive.com/pywikipedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org/msg01202.html
) for details. Please go ahead, and implement it.

Summary: interwiki placement of no: on fy.wikipedia

no: should be placed alphabetically after nl:, nds:, et cetera (which it doesn't). I already checked the table in families/wikipedia_family.py, wherein it was however correctly listed. On other wiki's the problem doesn't occur, so that probably the problem is in the fy-specific module (right after the table).

Summary: Update interwiki's with commonscat.py
Initial Comment:
Commonscat.py should update interwiki's at Commons when working on a category. Some code is already available, but not the policy on how to update the links. We have several sources:
-interwiki links to articles on the Commons category
-interwiki links to categoires on the Commons category
-interwiki links to articles at the Wikipedia article
-interwiki links to categories at the Wikipedia category
Not clear how to deal with this. We don't want bots constantly changing the links at a Commons category because multiple categories at some Wikipedia link to the same Commons category. Interwiki conflicts are probably going to be a source of problems too.

Hello!
Your family file is wrong. Have you read
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Pywikipedia_bot_on_non-Wikimedia_projects ?
It might help +)
The addresses of index and api are http://bestbrute.wikia.com/index.php
and http://bestbrute.wikia.com/api.php which means that the scriptpath
should be '' :
def scriptpath(self, code):
return ''
With this script path set, you don't need to override path(), or apipath()
and things will work for you.

It seems this problem always happen on me. It's not an occasional error.
This bug also affect quite a few commands, not just replace.py -start:
I remember I tried -titleregex in another py file. I saw the same error
message.
So does anyone know how to workaround it? (Perhaps using other commands).
I want to tell the robot to check all templates, but the -start command
doesn't work for me. What else could I use?

I'm not sure of what happens here, I'm not familiar enough with the api.
Checking for soup.api is not None , and retry if it's None could do the
trick, but once again, we're inserting magic tricks to use the api, when it
would be better to focus on porting our code base to the rewrite branch...
