We're excited to invite you to join the Wikisource Loves Manuscripts Learning Partners Network https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikisource_Loves_Manuscripts/Learning_Partners_Network! The Wikisource Loves Manuscripts https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikisource_Loves_Manuscripts project aims to foster collaboration among communities interested in digitizing and transcribing manuscripts on Wikimedia platforms (Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource) but also to support the creation of Handwritten Text Recognition (HTR) models using the newly introduced Transkribus engine in Wikimedia OCR https://diff.wikimedia.org/2023/07/13/enabling-handwritten-text-recognition-on-wikisource-using-transkribus-ocr-engine/ .
The official launch of the network is scheduled for *September 2023*, and this is your last opportunity to be part of the first cohort. Take advantage of this chance to be a part of WiLMa Learning Partners Network and contribute to digitisation efforts alongside like-minded individuals.
