Hi all,
I have read about that the WMF Fundraising visited Tokyo for a week to collect live voices from donors through interviews [1]. If there any wiki page or other materials explaining this kind of efforts? I'd love to know about what were motivations and findings of this visit.

Anyone interested in this topic might want to check the WMF's latest monthly report that briefly mentions it [1].
And just to share some more information I got from the Japanese article I linked to [2] - it was written by Yukari Mitsuhashi, an independent writer and journalist. She explains that interviewees were provided with general information about how the WMF and its fundraiser work and were asked for possible improvements on the language and other parameters. According to her, they also tried fine-tuning banners and messages based on the suggestions while (or between?) the interviews. Some of the individual opinions are also described in the article.
