Le développement de WikiHiero 2 ayant repris depuis quelques semaines, voici un état des lieux de son avancement.

Tout d'abord, pour ceux qui n'auraient pas suivi la genèse de ce projet, WikiHiero 2 se veut une plateforme de traitement des textes hiéroglyphiques ouverte à tous les formats (via des plugins d'entrée/sortie) mais offrant un cadre de traitement indépendant de ces formats (pour l'analyse syntaxique par ex.).

Les sources du projet sont maintenant disponibles sur Google Code [1] et la dernière version est simplement récupérable via SVN [2].

Le système de plugin est maintenant fini et gère les 3 types de plugins (importer, modifier & exporter) ainsi que leur configuration.

Enfin, j'ai un peu avancé sur le plugin d'import MdC ainsi que sur l'exporter HTML (dans un format équivalent à celui de WikiHiero 1). Le plugin XML est lui, quasiment fini (aussi bien en entrée qu'en sortie). Enfin, j'ai créé un plugin HieroDico pour illustrer le système des plugin de type modifier (il ajoute la description des différents hiéroglyphes).

Il y a encore beaucoup de travail sur les plugins existants et ceux à créer de toute pièce (importer/exporter Unicode, exporter image, etc.) et tout aide serait la bienvenue.

WikiHiero 2 development restarted few weeks ago so it's time to let's you know the project's advancement.

First of all, for those who don't already know, WikiHiero 2 wants to be a platform for hieroglyphic text processing opened to all formats (using input/output plugins) but offering a format independent framework (for syntax analysis for ex.).

The project source is now available on Google Code [1] and the last version can be easily got from SVN repository [2].

The plugin system is now finished and handles all 3 types of plugin (importer, modifier & exporter) and plugin configuration variables.

I got ahead with MdC importer and the HTML exporter (that produce output like the one of WikiHiero 1). The XML plugin is almost finished (both for import and export). Then, I created a HieroDico plugin to illustrate the use of modifier plugin (this plugin add description to hieroglyphs).

You can test those feature on the test site [3].

A lot of work still to be made to finish existing plugins and create all new ones (like Unicode import/export or image exporter) so any help is welcome.
