Hi everyone,
We held the GA today, where we presented the activity report of the UG from the last 2 years [1], and also had a showcase of candidates for the board. As per agreement at the meeting, we decided to carry out the vote over Google Forms during the course of the next week. So, you can vote on board members at [2], and the voting closes on Thursday, October 8, at 5 PM UTC.

Dear members of the Wikipedia & Education User group, It's been two years since the Wikipedia & Education User group was founded and the time has flied by. We did a lot of things and there were a lot of things that we wanted to do, but didn't. Now it's time to refresh our board. Namely, according to our By-laws [1], board members have a term of two years, meaning our terms end on October 2. Also, according to our By-laws, we are supposed to hold a General Assembly meetings annually, so this is the perfect time for that. Therefore, I hereby invite all user group members [2] to the General Assembly online meeting, that will take place on October 1, 2020 starting at 4 PM UTC. The link for the meeting will be provided at a later time. At the meeting, we will present a two year activity report and hold elections for board members. If you want to put yourself up for election as a board member, please apply by sending me an email off-list with your full name and a brief statement on why you think you should be a board member. I hope to see as many members as possible on October 1. Until then, take care, Filip Maljković Chair Wikipedia & Education User group [1] https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_%26_Education_User_Group/By-laws [2] https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_%26_Education_User_Group/Members#Members_List
